Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
Snuggle is a baby sleep and care tracker. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the control you have. In plain English: we don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and when you delete your account we really delete it. For the short version, read our Privacy Promise.
Who we are. Snuggle is operated by Must Have Apps SIA (registration no. 40203594489), Valguma iela 18 - 16, Rīga, LV-1048, Latvia. We are the data controller for the information described below. Questions? Email must.have.apps.sia@gmail.com.
1. Information We Collect
Snuggle keeps an account so your records sync across your own devices and with the caregivers you invite. We collect only what the app needs to do that:
Account
Your name, email address, and how you signed in — email & password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. If you use email & password, your password is stored hashed (we never see it in plain text). If you use Apple or Google, we store the sign-in identifier they return and no password. You may add an optional profile photo.
Baby profile
For each baby you track: name, birth date, and optionally sex, a premature / weeks-early flag, and a photo. Birth date drives the app's age-based schedule math.
Care logs
The entries you choose to record for your baby, including:
- Sleep sessions (naps and night sleep)
- Feeds — breast, bottle, pumping, and solids
- Diapers
- Growth — weight, height, and head circumference
- Health notes — medication, temperature, and symptoms, recorded as neutral log entries (see Health Data)
- Tummy time, baths, custom events, reminders, milestones, and sleep-training sessions
Device & push
A device identifier, your platform (iOS or Android), and a push-notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver the reminders and caregiver-activity alerts you enable.
Subscription
If you buy Snuggle Pro, we receive your subscription status through RevenueCat, keyed to an app-specific user ID. Your payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never receive or store your card number or billing details.
Diagnostics & analytics
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect aggregate, non-identifying usage and crash data (device type, OS version, app version, and general usage patterns) so we can keep the app stable. This does not include the content of your baby's care logs, though it may include limited, anonymized event metadata (for example, the type of an event, whether a sleep was a nap, a rounded duration, or a prediction-confidence value) that helps us understand which features work and improve our predictions. Our website, snugglebaby.app, uses Google Analytics for aggregate visit statistics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Run the service — store your baby's profile and logs and sync them across your devices and any household you share them with.
- Predictions on your device — nap and schedule predictions are computed on your device from your own logged history. We do not run behavioural profiling of your baby on our servers.
- Notifications — send the reminders, nap-window alerts, and caregiver handoff/activity notices you turn on.
- Subscriptions — unlock and maintain Snuggle Pro.
- Support & reliability — answer your emails and fix crashes.
- Security & legal — protect the service against abuse and comply with the law.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build commercial profiles from it.
3. Households & Sharing With Caregivers
Snuggle lets you create or join a household and invite co-parents, family, or a nanny with an invite code that you approve. Sharing is always user-initiated: when you share a baby, the caregivers you add can view and add that baby's logs. Access is controlled by roles (admin, member, and read-only viewer) and by time-boxed "day passes" for temporary caregivers. You can change a member's role, remove a member, or leave a household at any time from the app.
4. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not show ads, and we do not embed third-party advertising or tracking networks. We share data only with the service providers that make the app work, each acting under its own privacy terms:
- Apple & Google — Sign in with Apple / Google, app-store payments, and push-notification delivery.
- Firebase / Google Cloud — push messaging, analytics, and crash reporting.
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement status for Snuggle Pro.
- Our email provider — to send password-reset codes and essential service email.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your records are stored on your device and synced to our servers so you don't lose them if you switch phones and so caregivers stay in sync. Data in transit is encrypted over HTTPS, and every sync request is authenticated with a per-user token. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
6. Your Rights & Choices
- Export — export your data as a CSV file from within the app at any time.
- Access & correct — view and edit your profile and every baby record directly in the app.
- Delete — delete individual logs, or delete your whole account from the app's settings (see below).
- Notifications — turn any notification off in the app or in your device settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, portability, or erasure) under laws like the GDPR. To exercise them, contact must.have.apps.sia@gmail.com.
7. Account Deletion — Delete Means Delete
You can delete your account from Settings inside the app. Deletion runs immediately when you confirm it, and it cascades:
- If a baby is yours alone, that baby and all of its logs are permanently deleted.
- If a baby is shared in a household with other caregivers, ownership of that baby and its records transfers to another caregiver so the household doesn't lose its history — and your membership is removed.
- If you are the last member of a household, the household and its babies and logs are deleted with your account.
- We also send a best-effort request to delete your subscriber record at RevenueCat.
Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account — use the in-app delete option, or email us and we'll do it for you.
8. Data Retention
We keep your account and records for as long as your account is active. When you delete a log, a baby, or your account, the data is removed as described in section 7. Aggregate, non-identifying diagnostics collected through Firebase are retained according to Firebase's own retention settings and cannot be tied back to your account.
9. Children's Data
Snuggle is a tool for a parent or caregiver — an adult account holder — to keep private records about their infant. The account, and all information in it, is provided and controlled by that adult, not by the child. Snuggle is for use by adults (parents and caregivers) about their child; it is not directed to children and is not designed for a child to use. We do not knowingly let children create accounts. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
The records you keep about your baby — in particular health-related entries such as medication, temperature, and symptoms — concern an infant and may qualify as special-category personal data under Article 9 of the GDPR. You provide this data as the child's parent or legal guardian; the child does not provide it and does not hold the account. We process it on the basis of your explicit consent and to perform our contract with you (delivering the tracking and multi-caregiver features you signed up for), and only for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting the relevant records or your account.
This is our general framing of the parent-and-baby relationship; it is not legal advice, and specific obligations under laws such as COPPA and the GDPR are reviewed with counsel.
10. Health Data & Disclaimer
Some entries you can log — such as medication, temperature, and symptoms — relate to your baby's health. Snuggle records these as neutral log entries for your own records. It does not interpret them, diagnose, dose, or advise.
Snuggle is designed for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment for your baby. Sleep predictions, schedules, timers, and insights are general estimates based on typical patterns — not guarantees, and not medical guidance. Every baby is unique, so trust your own judgment and your pediatrician. If your baby shows signs of distress, illness, or unusual behavior, contact your pediatrician immediately.
We treat your baby's health-related logs with the same care as the rest of your data: never sold, never used for advertising, and never mined to build commercial profiles.
11. International Processing
We and our service providers may process and store your information in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards. By using Snuggle, you understand your information may be processed in these locations.
12. Changes & Contact
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Snuggle after an update means you accept the revised policy.
